the deerslayer

Well, George finally found "his deer" and called me..We trekked over about a mile of sagebrush covered land.Fortunately, the deer had a path through the dense brush and we could carry him out..with the help of the handy deer cart..Set off for the processing plant in Hyattville and should have fresh venison next week. Weather today a balmy 30 degrees up from about 19 degrees last night..

It's almost hunting time

This is a really exciting time of year for my DH..he is counting the days to the opening of deer season..I am working on several projects for Christmas and will post pictures soon...we just finished harvesting sugar beets and the trucks left our road almost impassable...oh well, at least there's no mud on the road...

IT'S SPRING

WoW - It's SPRING...in Wyoming...temperatures are between 60 and 75 each day and knock on wood...no freezing temperatures at night...we had a little rain ...not enough for Wyoming mud, but enough to make everything green...my lilacs are blooming and the iris are coming up...I've finished some projects for Mongolia, Las Vegas and San Diego....hope to update the pictures soon...we are really uptown now because we now are the proud owners of stairs into the house at the front door....no more jumping up or down from the entry way....way to go George...they look incredible...next project..the back porch...take care everyone

Spring knitting/quilting

It has been a really cold winter in Wyoming - but I have knit several pairs of socks and am starting on new vegetable bags..I looked all over the internet for a pattern, but no luck so I have come up with one on my own....here's to no more plastic bags.....
